Austrian Airlines A321 Emergency Return and Landing in Vienna HD

26.01.2019
Video from incident with Austrian Airlines A321-100. Return back to Vienna due to problems with maintaining cabin pressure. No drama on this video, no oxygen masks falling out and no screaming passengers. Just a routine work by flight crew and nice views on Alps from much lower altitude than on usual flight. On 15th of November 2018 Austrian Airlines Airbus A321-100, registration OE-LBA (delivered December 1995), performing flight OS507 from Vienna, Austria to Milan Malpensa, Italy, had just levelled off at cruise FL340 (about 10350 m / 34000 ft) about 45nm southeast of Salzburg, Austria over central Alps (near Glossglocker – height 3798 meters / 12457 feet), when the crew initiated an emergency descent after being unable to maintain the cabin pressure. The aircraft descended to FL160 (around 4900 m / 16000 ft), turned around and returned to Vienna for a safe landing on Vienna’s runway 34 about 70 minutes after leaving FL340. Thank you for watching!
