The NSBE mission is "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community." At the University of Alaska Fairbanks, local chapter members use the networking, leadership development opportunities, and academic and professional support systems to excel personally and professional. The active student organization volunteer in the community and engage youth in STEM activities. Here is their story
