UAG Monarch for iPhone Xs Max: 2x Mil-Spec Protection, Top Grain Leather & 10 Year Warranty! HD
Crafted from a visually arresting combination of polycarbonate and leather, with pleasantly grippy rubber sides, the UAG Monarch offers 2x military drop test standard protection for your iPhone Xs Max, as well as an impressively long ten year warranty. It might be argued that a ten year warranty is a bit excessive, given that most people won’t keep their phone longer than five years, but it is still nice to have nonetheless. Also, what exactly does 2x mil-spec protection actually mean? From my understanding, this means that UAG tested the case with twice as many drops, rather than from twice as high, so, 52 four ft drops, as opposed to the standard 26 four ft drops that you normally get with military drop test certification. A bit of a different way to do things, but valid nonetheless. After all, you are probably more likely to drop your phone many times at a lower level than fewer times at a higher level. Pros: * 2x mil-spec protection * Pleasantly grippy hand feel * Top grain leather panels on the back give an upscale look and feel to the case * Oversized, responsive buttons * Good protective lip around screen and camera. * Skid pads on the back help reduce scratching of the polycarbonate back Cons: * Relatively expensive. * Looser fit on phone than the UAG Plasma (this can be a positive thing if you are frequent case changer, however) The Monarch is available directly from UAG as well as from other retailers and has an MSRP of $59.95. It comes in the lovely crimson color shown here as well as a black leather and a black carbon version. Many thanks to the kind folks at UAG for sending me out this sample to review. http://bit.ly/2OBwqT2 Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day!
