United Arab Emirates v Ireland Live Streaming | UAE vs IRE LIVE | Live Score Card | 1st ODI Live HD
Ireland and UAE will renew their rivalry in a One-Day International for the first time in more than two years when they lock horns in the first game of a two-match series at the ICC Academy ground in Dubai on Thursday (March 2). Their only previous ODI clash was during the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015, when a late flourish from Gary Wilson and Kevin O’Brien carried the Irish to a two-wicket victory with four deliveries to spare in a high-scoring contest at the Gabba in Brisbane. Shaiman Anwar had spearheaded UAE’s recovery from 131 for 6 to a competitive 278 for 9 with a blistering 83-ball 106. William Porterfield’s side had slipped to 97 for 4 in reply before Wilson fashioned 80 off 69 deliveries and O’Brien biffed eight fours and two sixes in making a 25-ball 50. All three of the batting heroes from that game will be in action over the next few days, with Anwar now having been elevated as Rohan Mustafa’s deputy. While UAE comes into the contest high on confidence after defeating Hong Kong to win the desert tri-series in Dubai in late January, Ireland’s last ODI was in September last year, when it was brushed aside by Australia by nine wickets in Benoni. Ireland clearly is the more experienced side and retains the core group that did duty at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, while there has been plenty of churning in the UAE ranks. Porterfield has a string of quality performers at his disposal, among them Ed Joyce, O’Brien brothers Kevin and Niall, and Wilson with the bat, the versatility of Paul Stirling and the bowling of Tim Murtagh, Barry McCarthy and George Dockrell, the 24-year-old left-arm spinner. UAE is a side in transition, though it was on top of its game in the tri-series earlier this year, defeating both Hong Kong and Scotland with a reasonable degree of comfort. It won’t be unaware, however, that Ireland will pose the strongest challenge it has encountered since the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand. Its familiarity with home conditions will help, as will the dynamism of both Mustafa and Anwar in particular, but whether that will be enough to stop the formidable Irish team is another matter altogether. The second and final match of the series will be played at the same venue on Saturday. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "BATTLEFIELD 1 Walkthrough Gameplay Part 1" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5Wrm5-bp7I -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
