DRAKE gets a pet SNAKE ~ "The best day of my life" ~ Help Drake name the pet snake HD

Drake gets a pet snake after six years! Mom finally says, "yes." Six years of wanting a pet snake now is the time. Drake earned it. SUBSCRIBE:https://www.youtube.com/user/Theekholms Drake has always been fond of snakes. When he was little boy he took it upon himself to learn how to tell if a snake was poisonous or safe to handle. Living in Southern California we would see snakes out and about. One day we saw a snake sticking its head out of a hole on a trail. Drake quickly explained that it was non venomous and that he was going to catch it. Well, he snuck up to the hole and quick as a flash reached in and pulled out the snake. Dad was able to get some video of it too! When Drake asked his parents if he could have a pet snake they firmly said, "no." Now, six years later, Drake has realized his dream. He now owns a pet snake. The best day of my life. Drake did great on the ISEE exam and has been showing a lot of maturity. When he asked his mom again about getting a snake she said "yes." Drake did pay for half of the costs. To get the snake set up he had to buy the "critter set up" box. Drake will also have to buy the snakes food. The snake eats mice. The mice come frozen. The snake eats one a week. The snake Drake got is a Corn Snake. A Corn Snake can live into its teen years. This was the big concern for Drake and his family. After all, Drake will have gone through college and be about 30 years old by the time this snake dies. So dad agreed to take on the responsibilities with Drake. Chances are Drake will take the snake with him where ever he goes, but its impossible to know such futuristic details. Before we went to Petco, Drake did go online to search for a Corn Snake that he could adopt. We discovered there are many Boas that people can no longer care for. However there were no corn snakes. It is unfortunate, but because kids get snakes that live so long, snakes out live the owners ability to care for them. This is sad but true. Some snakes live for 30 pluse years. Adopting a pet of any species is a life long commitment. That is great if you really love having a pet snake. Drake also has a pet Leopard Gecko named Saphira. This pet was given to us years ago by neighbors who had lost their interest in caring for it. When Drake was given the Leopard Gecko he said, "this is the best day of my life." Drake owns a pet Tortoise named Torty too. Torty is a Russian Pet Tortoise that we got from Petco when Drake was 5 years old. When Drake got torty he said, "this is the best day of my life." A pet Tortoise can live up to 80 years! Drake will have to have children of his own to care for Torty. Drake also has a pet Dog named Pippy Boom Boom. We call him Boomy, Boomis, Pippy, Pip, Fuzzy butt, Knuckle Head and all other fun Pet names. Pippy actually has acluple shows of his own on our Youtube Channel too.
