NNN School Spirit Video

On Friday, October 10, the elementary, middle and high schools gathered for a district wide pep rally. The rally began by the band, flags, middle school and high school cheerleaders leading the school song. The Visual Media class played a school spirit video in which NHS senior Tyler Adams played the villan "Dr. EValWesWaverBurg" threatening to kill school spirit. Fabian Dehart played the hero saving school spirit at NHS. The elementary school students giggled and cried in delight as they watched . The cheerleaders led the battle cry for all three schools with each cry getting louder as the younger students caught on.There was dancing by the high school cheerleaders and a treat for all was the 2nd grade students and teachers doing the cupid shuffle while the band played along. Next was a tug of war competition between the kindergarten and NHS senior football players. The 2nd graders tugged so hard the players fell hard to the ground as the entire elementary erupted in cheers for the kindergarten winners! This was followed by the contest held to raise money for the SOMC Compassion Fund. Students and staff could vote for their favorite principal by putting money in a bucket. The winning principal was high school principal, Mr. Rick Scarberry. The winner received a "pie in the face". Jenifer Arnett did the honor of smashing the pie while Greg Tipton rushed in to rub it in good. Next was the introduction of the real football queen and court in which the senior football players dressed up and modeled their homecoming gowns. The band ended the rallly with a percussion jam.
