Final trip of NS DM90 "Buffel" 29 August 2018 HD
This video was made of the final trip of the dutch railways NS DM90 "Buffel", marking the end of diesel operated trains in The Netherlands by NS. Currently, all diesel lines have either been privatized or electrified, making the diesel trains redundant. The DM90 has only been in operation for 20 years at NS (Dutch Railways) and several private operators such as Syntus. This train type was constructed between 1996 and 1998 at Talbot, in Aachen, Germany, and the final service of this train was in December 2017 on the "Kamperlijntje" between Kampen and Zwolle, which is now being electrified. This particular train ran on 29 August 2018 as a special service from the depot at Blerick, via Amersfoort to the dutch railway museum in Utrecht for preservation. The movie was made at Utrecht Central Station and the museum line just before the railway museum. Shot on iPhone, edited with iMovie
