I got to add two more NS heritage units seen for this stay (Norfolk & Western - NS 8103 and Reading - NS 1067, even though I have already completed the NS heritage hunt years ago). I also got to see westbound using track 1 and eastbound using track 3 (back then, track 1 is only signaled eastward & track 3 westwards between South Fork & Altoona, but sometime in 2019 all tracks are bi-directional, which helped big because not long after, westbound mixed freight 34A derailed at Horseshoe Curve, leaving only track 1 open, and trains did roll by while cleanup and track repair are underway). Back in Altoona at night, I did caught a few 4th of July fireworks while trains rolled by. Anyway, I had a great time during this much-needed railfanning trip back on the Pittsburgh Line, first time since the pandemic! Note: I did follow the line east to Harrisburg the next day on my way home but I did not record any videos.
