Wordpress wp-content/uploads error - resolved ( do not chmod to 777 !!! ) HD

How to resolve the following wordpress media file upload errors: - Error uploading images (unable to move to wp-content/uploads) - Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/ - The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/ I noticed a lot of forums suggesting to chmod the permissions on folders to 777- this is an EXTREMELY bad idea - I cannot emphasize enough how bad this is ( you are giving the WORLD read/write access to your files ) - so I decided to make this video to hopefully help some out with this issue Wordpress.org - The dangers of 777 https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions#The_dangers_of_777 If you do not feel comfortable working within your webserver and need help working on this, please contact us http://www.rtpdatasolutions.com, http://www.carywebdesigns.com or message me here directly.
