Please subscribe! http://bit.ly/PetePeppers Better Call Saul season 6 went straight into an ending in Episode 3. One of the biggest mysteries of this prequel series has been what will happen to Nacho Varga? In the first two episodes things were looking dire as he on the run in Mexico. He realized that Gus also wanted him dead and had no one to turn to. In “Rock and Hard Place” he reached the conclusion that the only thing he could hope for was to make a deal to keep his father safe. He forfeited his own life to offer Manuel Varga that protection. In episode 3 things continue to progress with Jimmy and Kim’s plan to take down Howard and force the Sandpiper settlement. They copied his car keys and spoofed his electronic fob with Huell’s help. Kim is still pushing the plan along. Jimmy is less enthusiastic, but unable to pass up a good scam. They had a scare when ADA Erickson discovered that Juan deGuzman was really Lalo Salamanca. When Jimmy asked if he should cooperate Kim said he had a choice to be a friend of the cartel or a rat. This is a heavy episode and it’s always difficult to watch a terrific character’s story come to an end. Nacho’s death was a noble sacrifice, and he was able to end things on his own terms without putting his father in danger. It was a fitting ending that made sense for the character, and Michael Mando delivered an amazing performance. In the final 13 episodes, we’ll find out why Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) isn’t in Jimmy’s life in Breaking Bad. We’ll learn the fates of Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) and Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton).
