Southall plastic bottle Christmas tree HD
Ealing Council’s famous plastic bottle tree has returned to Southall and will be one of the main features at the unique Southall Christmas Market on Sunday 7 December. The unique Christmas tree, made with hundreds of recyclable plastic bottles and standing six metres high, aims to remind residents about the importance of recycling over the festive period and is a part of Ealing Council’s 50% by 2020 campaign. This year the tree has been given a new look, with pink and purple bottles, which are the colours used for the Southall Big Plan project. The tree is an initiative of Ealing Council, designed my artist Ashley Phillips and in partnership with the University of West London. The Southall Christmas tree sponsors are The Centre Banqueting, Laimon Fresh, Banwait Bros & Co and Chandni Chowk.
