Toshiba Satelite SSD & Artix Linux Installation HD

Toshiba Satelite SSD & Artix Linux Installation I take my old Toshiba Satelite laptop from 2006 and replace the spinning disk hard drive with an SSD. I then install Artix Linux 20181008 and see it all work as expected. The laptop is a Centrino Duo processor with 4GB of RAM. It does not boot off of USB drives, so I had to burn a real DVD to get Artix installed. Artix is an Arch based Linux distribution utilizing the OpenRC system initialization system. Artix was developed to fill the gap when Manjaro ceased to offer an OpenRC based respin. Artix Linux uses the LXQt desktop and comes with a light, but complete desktop oriented selection of software.
