The date was 13 December, 2016. The song, Cold Water by Major Lazer (Ft. Justin Bieber and M∅) was a big hit in the states, climbing to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #1 in many other countries, including the UK. I was listening to the best radio station on O’ahu, Island 98.5 while I was driving back to Waikiki when I heard this amazing remix. I was immediately drawn to this song right away because it incorporated an island vibe along with EDM, and I immediately used Shazam to capture the song. Eventually I reached out to Mareko, and I have since gotten to know him better. Not only is he an amazing artist, but also a great person and friend.
