The kits for the 07-16 models require a shorter fork spring to make up the difference for the lowering spacer, and achieve the proper spring pre-load. The Moto Lab Lowering Kits for the 07-16 KTM come in -1"(25mm), -1.25" (32mm), -2" (50mm), -2.5" (64mm) 2017 EXC/XC-W comes with a couple very cool options: -.78" (20mm) kit that allows use of the stock length fork springs! -2" (50mm) kit that requires a shorter front spring Fork springs made to fit the KTM are available in .40-.52 in even rates.
