The streets of Lower Sukhumvit were pretty deserted with no tourists of any kind, just homeless Thai people and the odd freelancer. Sad to see the amount of empty shops and the number of business that have closed down or disappeared in the last few years. Walked Down soi 7/1, which is an absolute disaster zone with the once famous Eden Club now falling deserted and in. sad state of disrepair. Then into Soi 7 to look at the Beer Garden and the new bars on the left hand side. Some of these bars have been around for years but have re-located from Queens Park Plaza in Sukhumvit Soi 22. The new Soi 7 bars were full of girls but few customers. Some were selling "coffee" and hopefully come Monday things will start opening up, especially those bars that have been sensible enough to get a restaurant licence. (Like a few in Soi 4) they will start to sell beer openly. Finally, into Soi 4, where I had a nice chat with a few old ladies and the death and dumb girl who is always hanging around down there.
