Toronto Zoo Arctic Wolf Pups Exploring Outside of Den

Spotted: our wolf pups and mom Dora emerged from the den! Keepers have observed at least six pups at this time. Keepers say Dora is a great first-time mom, very trusting and comfortable with both Keepers and the other wolves. She lets Aunt Vera into the den as a “babysitter” to watch the pups, while dad Imiq is on patrol outside of the den. The curious wolf pups will likely be eager to explore soon, but Zoo visitors will need some patience if they want to catch a glimpse of the juveniles as they are still quite shy. These are the first wolf pups born at the Zoo in over 15 years! We ask that visitors at the wolf exhibit respect their privacy and please keep your voices down during this sensitive time. #WolfWatch
