Makita Mini 4-Stroke (MM4)
Makita 4-Stroke engines deliver high torque and horsepower. Maximum torque and horsepower of Makita 4-Stroke engines are almost the same as those of an equivalent 2-Stroke engine. Additionally, by employing a unique lubrication system, it has obtained the smallest in class exterior physical dimensions among the 4-Stroke engines available in the market today. It is also lightest in class in weight by using magnesium alloy for die-cast clutch case. Compared with conventional 4-Stroke Engines, the Makita 4-Stroke engine produces approximately 20 to 30% more power thanks to its high combustion efficiency and new developments such as compact spark plug. The patented Unique Lubrication System enables the use of the engine in semi multi-position. Employing this system enables the use of 24.5cc and 33.5cc Brush Cutters on any slope such as ditch slopes, river banks or mountain woods. The natural pressure changes in the crankcase caused by the piston movement in the cylinder are harnessed to pump the oil throughout the engine. Oil is pumped from a reservoir in the base of the engine through a network of one-way valves for reliable lubrication and long service life without the need to keep the engine level. Other benefits include cleaner exhaust emissions, lower maintenance, lower noise levels and lower running costs.
