Penang to hurl wrecking ball on illegal roadside shops HD

The Penang government today sent out a warning on shops built illegally on the curb side, vowing to wreck all such structures the same way it did on a row of six shops in Tanjung Tokong today. State executive councillor Jagdeep Singh Deo said after many years of leniency of the state government, it was decided the culture of impunity had to stop. He said the Penang government was kind to offer extensions, moratoriums to those operating illegally on federal and state government reserve lands by the roads.
