Homage to Cristina Deutekom 2011 Amsterdam (video) On the occasion of her eightieth birthday, friends and colleagues pay tribute to Cristina Deutekom in a special gala concert On Wednesday October 26, 2011, friends and colleagues paid tribute to Cristina Deutekom in the Royal Theater Carré on the occasion of her 80th birthday on August 28 2011. It was a unique evening, a one-off Gala concert presented by initiator Ernst Daniël Smid. About 1500 people attended the concert, including Princess Margriet and Pieter van Vollenhoven. Participants are Eva-Maria Westbroek, Charlotte Margiono and the 3 Baritones (Henk Poort, Marco Bakker and Ernst Daniël Smid). The tribute was conducted by guest conductor Ramon Tebar, with the collaboration of the Holland Symfonia orchestra. Cristina Deutekom has performed on all major world stages and sang with tenors such as Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and José Carreras.
