No Hope For Paws for this Dog Rescue as Randy Grim of Stray Rescue of St Louis is Denied! HD

25.07.2016
This homeless dog rescue video is part of the Hope For Paws series by WA2S Films: http://www.WA2S.org By 7:30 am we were in East St. Louis with Randy and Donna of Stray Rescue of St. Louis to accompany them on their usual feeding and checking rounds. We went back to try and find the puppy pack; even went back a couple times over the morning, but did not find them. They appear to have moved locations which was disappointing to Donna and Randy since they want to rescue as many of the puppies as they can. We also looked for “Mr. Worthy” but didn’t find him. By the time we got to his area it was quite a bit later than when he is typically fed and he likely stopped waiting. We also looked for a white mama pit bull that Donna has been feeding. She is quite clearly feeding puppies but she is being crafty about not letting Donna know where the puppies are. She suspects they are in some very heavy brush but she’s yet to find them. White mama dog was elusive today as well. It is very hot in St. Louis right now and even by 9:30 am it was over 80 degrees. Randy advised us that all the usual dogs that they see were likely out around 3:00-4:00 am getting food, but would be back in a cooler location by now. He said that fall, winter and spring are completely different than summer due to the cooler weather. We check for the puppy pack one more time before calling it a morning, but didn’t find them. Our time with Randy and Donna was truly a delight. Randy is prolific at what he does, and what he has accomplished in St. Louis is amazing. He takes no money from the government, however they work together very well. Randy has a dedicated abuse officer in the police department that he works with on cases. Though the abuse cases are horrific, it seems that most are not prosecuted because they are not shoe-ins for a conviction, which is truly unfortunate. Randy works with the government in many ways including meeting police at scenes, and responding to stray dog calls on a daily basis. In fact, Randy had the city government create an app for him that alerts him to where the strays are as soon as they are logged in the city’s system. I think this was a huge accomplishment for him. Randy and Donna work to save stray dogs in a very dangerous city. The North-side has 3-4 murders every night. In East St. Louis they happen every few days. The East St. Louis mayor was shot to death in a park there, 2 years ago. There is tragic animal abuse going on including torching and hanging dogs.
