“How to detect the tempo of a song in FL Studio 12” This video is a demonstration of “how to” “detect” the “tempo” of a “song” in “fl studio” 12 using the “Edison” “wave” “editor” / “recorder” Detecting the tempo or more accurately the “bpm”/ “beats per minute” of a song is useful when there is a need to “beat” match with another song, set “samples” to the right “pitch” and/or to mix “vocals” to your “track” for more “Sampling and Mixing Music tips” check the playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3sZaqExJ6T0tZs48D_zLVp4TvisaFiT9 •First open Edison •Now load up your song from the load menu or drag and drop your song into Edison •The next step is left click and highlight all your track then press the trim side noise button IMPORTANT NOTE!!! Trimming Side Noise or track Silence at the beginning and end of your track will improve the accuracy of the tempo detection and can be useful if your mixing it with another song because the song will start right on the down beat and will line up with bar and beat lines in the playlist window •Now right click on the title section of Edison to bring up the sample properties •Go to the tempo section and left click AutoDetect •Then Click detection for songs with constant tempo and hold for a few seconds Now just wait for FL Studio to detect the tempo of the song in beats per minute. Once the detection has finished you will see the tempo in the Tempo (BPM) window now just click accept to finish. Second IMPORTANT NOTE!!! You can now set the main tempo window to the exact bpm you have detected to work around for your project.
