Two rooms, Bolshoy Ballet

“Two rooms is a reflection on the theme of solitude, alienation from society, and the artificial vacuum that both of the heroes find themselves in. The characters roam around their rooms, knowing every nook and cranny, as wild animals inside their cages. They long for a meeting, trying to break free, to get used to it, to accept. It is only in their sleep that they can finally unite in dance: brief, expressive and anticipated.” – explains Ilya Zhivoy, the project’s producer and choreographer.
