This is the new iPhone 13, now starting at 128gb, coming in at the same price as the previous iPhone 12. My first time pre-ordering an iPhone, I chose to go for the 256gb Midnight version. As I plan to create a lot of content with and on this phone. With this I ordered Apple’s leather case also in Midnight to keep that dark understated look. The iPhone 13 comes with a much improved dual lens camera system. Now diagonal and includes cinematic mode, improved low-light, photographic styles and a better ultra-wide angle lens. The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Mini, all have a smaller notch, allowing for more display. The display on the iPhone 13 is brighter, now 800 nits and 1200 nits HDR. No 120 herts, for that you will need to get the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. We also get the new A15 processor, providing faster CPU and GPU performance. The battery life is also increased by 2.5hrs more than iPhone 12. This is great to see! Like all new features, I look forward to testing them in my upcoming iPhone 13 review! So far I can say these are small upgrades but are upgrades in the right areas (battery and camera). If you are coming from the iPhone 12 I do not think this is a necessary upgrade. However I think most will come from older models, such as the iPhone 11, iPhone XR or iPhone X like me. In which case the iPhone 13 is a very substantial upgrade. I would buy the iPhone 13 over the iPhone 12 due to it’s better battery life, newer processor and improved cameras. But I will share more of my thoughts in my full review.
