Wii U Softmod Tutorial July 2016 HD

INSTRUCTIONS BELOW. This Wii U hack will enable you to load Wii U backups and homebrew software from SD card! It does NOT modify your Wii U, nor is it permanent, everything runs from browser or SD card. It also allows you to use GECKO cheat codes. I HAVE ONLY TESTED THIS ON US WIIU, Other regions may be different. It should be relatively safe but remember there is always a risk when running unsigned code. If you have a EU WiiU check the bottom link before proceeding. 1. First update Wii U to 5.5.1 (current may 2016) and download the following 2 files: Loadiine:: http://sh.st/FHDZo And Homebrew Launcher: http://sh.st/FHHNu (may require disabling antivirus/bitdefender) 2. Extract loadline_gx2.elf to your Wii U SD card under wiiuappsloadiine_gx2 (you will need to create those 3 folders on the SD card from your Wii U). Extract Homebrew Launcher to the SD card as well (again the .elf file will go to wiiuappshomebrew_launcher) 3. Toss that SD card back in your WiiU Then go to: http://loadiine.ovh/ on your Wiiu browser to launch it. Its that easy! Bookmark that site as you will need to use it every time you launch Homebrew Browser or Loadiine. Just launch Homebrew Launcher which will send you back to home screen. Immediately open browser and reload http://loadiine.ovh the rest is self explainitory. Your WiiU can now load backups from your SD card. Simply place them in the wiiugamesGamename [GAMEID] folder (again you need to create these folders.
