The speaker, Conor Russomanno, is an artist/engineer living in NYC. He is an avid brain-computer interface enthusiast and has been working with commercial/DIY BCIs incessantly for the last 2 years. Conor is a part-time faculty at Parsons School of Design, teaching Creativity & Compuation and a course titled The Digital Self. OpenBCI stands for open-source brain-computer interface (BCI). The OpenBCI Board is a versatile and affordable bio-sensing microcontroller that can be used to sample electrical brain activity (EEG), muscle activity (EMG), heart rate (EKG), and more.
