Currently the Fashion and Features Editor for Prestige Hong Kong. Zaneta also writes for titles including Women’s Wear Daily and Magazine B as a freelance contributor. As a journalist, Zaneta covers fashion, culture, travel, beauty, jewellery and lifestyle. Born to media personality Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui, Zaneta’s interest in fashion and its role in shaping perception at a young age when the family would look through and choose her father’s show outfits. Zaneta studied English literature and Political Science at University of Pennsylvania. She then pursued a master’s degree in Shakespeare at UCL in London. There she realised that dissertations were a source of much existential angst and segued quietly out of psychological theory and into costumes. On the side, however, Zaneta uses her personal public profile to draw awareness to causes such as Sheer’s bra drive and speaking at panels on topics ranging from overseas study to Shakespeare.
