Realtime James Abell Art Live Session 001 (TouchDesigner) " North Dome " HD

This is my first session using TouchDesigner with an Akai professional LPD8 midi in for controls. This allows me to react and improvise 3D and art in Realtime rather than pre render which I feels creates more spontaneity and reaction to new music tracks each time. This work is part of my www.3zuni.com work to be projected at my first solo art show. This sequence represents a voyage in time days and nights from an empty forest to a floating technological dome and structures then back to nature again. A cycle. I aim to make more of these and I will often reuse 3D graphics and scenes in previous sessions. That is the beauty of TouchDesigner, realtime creative flow! The work is influenced by Expo 67, Expo 70, northern landscapes, Buckminster Fuller, my love of both nature, technology and more.
