To Hell and Back - Episode 1

Episode 1 introduces the six people with lifestyle addictions who were selected for the To Hell & Back docu-reality series in their daily lives at home and work ending with their arrival at the addiction clinic in Hout Bay where they will spend 28 days of rehab together. Each person has a different background and a different story but what they share is a desperate need to face their demons and break their day to day cycle of addiction to food, gambling, sex and love, binge eating and purging, self-destruction, drugs, alcohol and co-dependent relationships if they are to reclaim their lives and move into a future that is healthy, happy and whole. To Hell and Back, episode 1, was broadcast on 28 April 2013 at 21h00 on SABC 2. To hell and back provides intimate insight into the difficult, often uncomfortable journey back from addiction, allowing viewers to understand the emotions and experiences people go through the tried and tested 12 Step Process of rehabilitation used at rehabilitation centres worldwide.
