How to Sing Better : How to sing Falsetto Wassup everybody, Guy Lockard here to once again bring you some quick tips on how to sing better. Today I want to show you how to sing falsetto. Switching from chest voice into falsetto can really make your songs more dramatic and more appealing by adding levels to the music. All the hot artists do it: Usher, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Beyonce. Here’s how you can do it too: first tip on how to sing falsetto Do vocal sirens from the top of your range. The falsetto "range" or muscle placement, is at the top of your range. It can be found by playing around with high-pitched vocal sirens just like a fire engine or a police car. Do them from the top of your register; not to the top of your register. Start as high as you can – that should be your falsetto. Don’t worry if it sounds good, it just has to be a real note. Next on how to sing falsetto Try singing like a little kid. Talk like a 3 year old– can you hear it? Can you feel the difference? It should feel like its coming from your sinuses. Another method is to talk breathy and high like Marilyn Monroe. Some of you probably don’t even know who she is. I’m getting old. I bet you guys know how Ariana Grande is though, right?!?! Make sure you keep it quiet. One of the beautiful things about falsetto is that its quiet and subtle. If it sounds too loud, it probably is, and your probably going into your head voice which is a different vocal technique. Sing on EEH or OOH. It’s a lot easier to sing in falsetto on these vowel sounds than it is to sing in AAH’s Remember, practice makes perfect. Your not going to sing like Ariana Grande or get all of these techniques over night but even just trying them out while your in the shower before you head out to school or while your at home cooking or doing homework is enough to help you learn how to sing better.
