This video is accessible through the eBook: Business Transformation as an Enterprise Capability available at http://ebook.qrs3e.com. Speaker notes are as follows: There is a good debate as to which methodology is better: agile or waterfall. An agile approach makes progress through iterations and can produce results in a shorter period of time. For this and other reasons, Agile is becoming increasingly popular but this approach has its limitations. While it may offer a light-weight approach, for Agile and Waterfall methods to be effective, the expectations of quality must be clear. An agile approach is also more complex to manage and co-ordinate than a waterfall approach. To do logical architecture, that is "HOW" the work will get done; the approach used is relevant to the skills, comfort and abilities of the project team. For either approach to be successful, a clear understanding of how to overcome the identified obstacles and expectations of quality in terms of how the outputs will meet the expectations of the capability need to be known prior to its start.
