7933V SSR Grain Train With Five Diesel Locomotives - PoathTV Australian Railways HD

A Southern Shorthaul Road (SSR) grain train has finished unloading at Graincorp Geelong and now travels the 3km to Moorabool loop where the locomotives will run around the hoppers before returning towards Melbourne. The two streamlined GM class diesel locomotives entered service with Commonwealth Railways in 1962 & 1963, with their classic EMD "bulldog" styling being just as eye catching today as it was over half a century ago. 602 is also no youngster, having entered service with the South Australian Railways in 1969. Even the pair of Alco 442 class locomotives, originally delivered to the New South Wales Government Railways (NSWGR) in 1971, are ageing well with their 50th birthdays not far away.
