My opponent for this ranked game was TNC Shotgun Rusty and the biggest problem I see for new or inexperienced players is to be able to counter when someone in ranked (which has no rules) spams infantry to try to roll over the top of you for the win. My opponent in this game had a build of 6 oathsworn and 6 spear nobles as the major part of his setup. This was easily countered by my balanced build which had a combination of cavalry and infantry. Use your cavalry to lure your opponent to split his army up and then use your infantry and the manoeuvrability of your cavalry to then hammer and anvil to win the day. It was apparent that my opponent did not read my likely tactics from my build and early manoeuvres after the game started. He ignored his strengths and walk into the trap. Never assume that apparent experienced players who wear tags know what they are doing and stick to balanced setups and work to your strengths and you will win more than you lose - and be well aware of the dangers of hammer and anvil in TW. good luck
