As a music shelter, he chose the eccentric label Anticon and started to cooperate with the avantgarde producers, Jess & Odd Nosdam; he’s also working with Son Lux and Sufjan Stevens on the project Sisyphus, had a tour and released an album together with Yoni Wolf (Why?) and Berlin producer and multi instrumentalist, Sicker Man. Serengeti’s a great storyteller who can play with words, voice and expression. You may also hear him singing. In his work, he explores both low and high intellectual and emotional levels. You can hear him as a melancholic poet, another time as a self-confident cunning truck driver, who’s got a piece of advice for each situation hiding under his mo. Each record presents something different from this master of word from Chicago. He has toured the Czech Republic twice; once with Sicker Man and Kiki Bohemia, the second time with his solitaire solo performance, where he in-filtered his alter-ego Kenny Dennis, an ordinary man, who loves baseball, pickles and always knows what to do. Thom Yorke says about him that he’s a “total genius”. This video was filmed and recorded during his second tour in Brno. Hudebním útočištěm se mu stal výstřední label Anticon a spolupráce s avantgardními producenty Jell & Odd Nosdam. Aktuálně také projekt Sisyphus se Son Luxem a Sufjanem Stevensem, společná deska a turné s Yoni Wolfem (Why?) nebo berlínským producentem a multiinstrumentalistou Sicker Manem. Serengeti má velký vypravěčský talent, cit pro hru se slovy, hlasem i výrazem. Nezřídka ho můžete slyšet i zpívat. Ve své tvorbě prozkoumává nízké i vysoké intelektuální i emocionální úrovně. Jednou ho můžete slyšet jako melancholického básníka, podruhé, jako sebejistého protřelého kamioňáka, který pod vousy skrývá radu pro každou situaci. Na každé desce chicagského mistra slova najdete něco jiného V Čechách byl na turné už dvakrát, jednou v doprovodu Sicker Mana a Kiki Bohemia podruhé se svým samotářským sólo vystoupením, do kterého prosáklo i jeho druhé alterego Kenny Dennis, obyčejný chlápek, který má rád baseball, kyselé okurky a vždycky si ví rady, Thom Yorke o něm tvrdí, že je “total genius”.
