Though clearly a rock project, Drowned Session is unmistakably rooted in the darker sides of Nordic and American Folk music. When you enter the universe of Drowned Session you enter a dark place, where mandolins and banjos accompany you through the dark and claustrophobic recesses of the human mind. Influences of such diverse artists as Nick Cave, Silver Mt. Zion and 16 Horsepower can be heard throughout their tracks but always with a significant dash of haunting Nordic tunes. Drowned Session is: Atli Brix Kamban, Niels Asger Svensson, Linus Carlsen and Brian Della Valle.
