Today I share with you, hilsa fish recipe with fried eggplant. This is very common recipe in Bengali tradition. But taste of this dish is awesome. I think my video will help to beginners or bachelors or new married couples. That means whom are going to cook recently or rarely. Hilsha or Ilish our national fish. There are lots of recipe remain in my channel and also others. But if you cook hilsa with fried eggplant like my videos, sure you will cook again and again. INGREDIENTS: 1. 4 piece hilsha or ilish fish 2. 250 gm brinjal / eggplant / begun 3. 1 & ½ tsp turmeric powder 4. 1 & ½ tsp salt 5. 1/4th cup oil 6. ½ cup chopped onion 7. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 8. 1 tsp red chili powder 9. 2 cup water 10. 4-5 piece green chilis PROCEDURE: 1. Today I will cook Hilsha curry with eggplant. I take 4 pieces hilsha fish and around 250 gm eggplant. Hilsha was washed and eggplant cut in thick sizes like video. Now add ½ tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp salt with hilsha. Also add ½ tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp salt with eggplants. Mix hilsha and also mix eggplants nicely with salt and turmeric powder. 2. Heat 1/4th cup oil in a frying pan. Add all coated hilsha fish. Fry hilsha fish in medium-high flame. 2-3 minutes later, flip all hilsha. Fry both sides for 5-6 minute to turn light golden colour. After frying, transfer fishes in a plate. 3. Add brinjal or eggplants in same oil. In high flame fry all brinjals. 4-5 minutes later, after one side getting golden brown flip all eggplants. Fry another sides gently. After turning both sides frying, transfer fried eggplants in a plate. Also fry hilsha eggs. 4. Add some more oil if needed and heat in a cooking pan. Add chopped onion. Stir onion and fry till light golden colour. 5. Add some water. Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp salt and 1 tsp red chili powder. Stir and mix all. Saute this for 3-4 minute in medium flame to remove raw smell. 6. Spices sauté almost done, oil separate from spices. Add 1 cup hot water, Cover pan for simmering. 7. Open the lid. Simmering properly. Now add fried hilsha fishes. Cover pan for 2-3 minutes in high-medium flame. 8. 2-3 minutes later, open the lid. Flip all fishes very carefully. Then add fried brinjal or eggplants. If needed, you can add some more water. Now again cover pan for 3-4 minutes. 9. 3-4 minutes later, open the lid. If possible, can flip brinjals. Add 4-5 piece green chilis. Check taste of salt, if needed add more. Shake pan and mix nicely. Hilsha fish curry with fried eggplants done nicely. My gravy is perfect. So put off the flame and serve this healthy recipe in a bowl. Just enjoy this hilsa fish curry with fried eggplant with hot rice.
