A location is close to the forest where the groundwater is about 100 m and a location closer to the village at the bottom of the hill, which makes the temperature a few degrees lower. The fact that cold air and fog persist on this land, leads to a difference in growth between the 2 plantations. We mention the fact that the depression in the plantation area creates a microclimate that removes the rhythmicity of the rains in the area. From our long experience with plantations in Europe, we deduce that altitude is not necessarily what matters most. These plantations are located at altitudes of approx. 70 m and about 100 m. At the plantation located at 70 m, the cold air ceiling is maintained for a longer time compared to the plantation at the top.
