BZ2 Forgotten Enemies Walkthrough Mission "Two Minute Warning" HD
First of the two missions you do if you decide to stay with the EDF. One of my favourite FE missions but a bitch to play. Again lots of occasion to easily mess things up, plus a good chance for a crash (usually a freeze) that can happen any time. Not fun when it happens 90 mins into the mission. If you want to successfully play this one through to the end, make sure that you 1. dont leave your hacker scout for an AI pilot, better yet, just dont leave it at all unless absolutely necessary (i.e. upgrade weapons) and of course dont let it get destroyed, because if you do there is a high chance the script gets hosed and you wont be able to finish the mission. 2. dont kill the wormhole generator accidentally. Until you kill the enemy recycler next to it, it counts as a hostile building, Keep your long range weapons (hornet, plasma) at a safe distance. If you go in with a stack of sabre tanks, dont let them pick their targets randomly, they might kill the WG. It can even be killed with stray fire, so just be very careful and always be ready to pull back your forces when things get out of your control. 3. dont let the rebel technician get killed. He (or she?) spawns after the last enemy recycler is destroyed, homes in on you, and you need to stay close to her for a time until the decryption algorithm is transmitted. After that she drives back to her drop ship and still must not die. If youre unlucky she might just end up sitting above one of the acid pools after a fight and die that way and you can do nothing about it. 4. dont forget the 3 digit code number for the WG. It is 852. Also, dont forget to bring a builder with your assault force (and prepare sufficient power supply, like 10+, before you leave), like I did in this video. Ive played this mission several dozens of times over the years and believe me, there are tons of different ways to miserably fail. I guess it took me 15-20 attempts before I accomplished the mission the first time. Anyway I always liked this mission. That said, just have fun watching it and playing it (if you have the patience) :)
