Air Guitar Pro, Toy Guitar by Takara Tomy (2007, Japan) HD

Read description for more information or ask in the comments section below. ------ Not to be taken for a real guitar, this amusing novelty was created by Takara Tomy in 2007. The toy uses infra-red sensors to detect the player’s hand motions and plays the selected chords out of its built-in speaker. Playing basic chords on it is pretty straight forward but hitting chords that use the buttons on the side (eg. 7th) can be quite challenging if you have short fingers like me and requires quite a bit of practice. The sound from the built-in speaker is loud but nothing to shout about. It is possible to connect the toy to an external speaker using the output jack at the back for better sound quality or headphones for quieter playing. The Japanese Air Guitar Pro includes 10 preloaded tracks to play with, while the European “Guitar Rockstar” has 8 songs featuring rock classics from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Queen and Eric Clapton.
