Red Dead Redemption; thrown off the map (glitch)

So I just finished the mission where you are protecting a silo from a swarm of crows. After I finished the mission I started looting the crows to gain more feathers and I took the first ones on the ground. Then I saw a crow on the Silo roof and climbed up and looted the bird. Somehow the game thought I was the ground and spawned my horse on me when I started looting it and while taking the feathers in "loot mode" I noticed that the surroundings had changed. At my suprice I was thrown outside the game map but I could still see parts of the land. I could shoot, move and run but was stuck at the same place. To get out from there I had to end it all with a piece of dynamite.
