As this crossover is based on Punto its resemblance is largely evident. The use of all-around plastic cladding lends Avventura a muscular look and the tailgate mounted spare wheel really makes a big difference in the way it appears. The dipped nose gets a highly stylized foglamp inserts and a silvery bottom with superior carving. Front grill gets chrome lining highlight, looks very premium. The sides gets a chunky door strip with Avventura engravings. Also, the 16 inch alloys look really butch and contributes in the tall stance of Avventura. The rear is as appealing as its side, get the eye catching boot lid mounted spare wheel and LED lights in the taillight cluster. Interiors: Like the exteriors interiors too are Punto derived and get the same black and grey color scheme that looks very welcoming. It infact is very premium on the inside as well with use of good quality stuff. The central console gets glossy black finish with retro dials and A/C control. Centre of attraction are the high terrain gauges that make the insides look more sporty and stylish. The driver information cluster looks very racy with dual tunnel tach and speedometer. Moreover, there is a small screen that shows info like distance to empty, trip, kilometers run, etc. It gets other practical stuffs like bottle holder, power windows, internally adjustable ORVMs, independent lights and a few more. Engine: Fiat Avventura is powered by two engines, available both in petrol and diesel fuel trims. The petrol is a 1.4 litre F.I.R.E. petrol and the other is the 1.3 litre multijet diesel. We drove the petrol variant first and it seemed a bit under powered as it hauls a heavier car. On the other hand, the 90PS diesel makes the Avventura feel a little lighter in handling and takes off easily. Ride and handling: Fiat with the introduction of Avventura have made sure that the performance is more than just looks. The 16-inch wheel helps this car to eat up potholes like anything. Apart from this the increased ground clearance makes it easier to control over bad roads. The excellent suspension setup makes the ride confident, well planted thanks to the weight it carries. The steering is bit heavier but it is not a big problem as it doesn’t make the vehicle nervous with sudden flicks. Furthermore, ride and handling is something that could be considered as a benchmark in this particular segment.
