The first Edition of Minecraft we are going to be talking about is the Minecraft Java Edition. This was the original version of Minecraft that came out in 2009. It is the primary version that Mojang, the original developers of Minecraft, works on, and it usually gets snapshots and test updates first. This is the version that I and most YouTubers play on as well as where most of the super popular Minecraft servers, like Hypixel, are hosted with. You can also mod Minecraft Java Edition for free, after purchasing the game, and without any restriction. Every single Minecraft mod that has been super popular is for Java Edition.
