Ewan McGregor wants an Obi-Wan trilogy - Collider HD

December is fast approaching and many Star Wars fans are frothing at the mouth hoping for a look at the Star Wars story/anthology movie Rogue One. While there’s still no word on when we might get our first look, there’s another story most fans always talk about when discussing the spin-offs; that of an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie or trilogy with Ewan McGregor back under the Jedi robes. Our very own Steve “Frosty” Weintraub sat down with McGregor to talk about his latest movie Miles Ahead and asked about the possibility of McGregor returning to the Star Wars Universe and giving fans what they want. McGregor also wants to return, saying I’d very much like to do one too. I think the story between Episode III and Episode IV, I think there’s a story there. I think that’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, if there is one. The one that bridges my Obi-Wan Kenobi and Alec’s Obi-Wan Kenobi because there’s a—I don’t know how long he’s in the desert there, but it’s got to be twenty or thirty years. When pressed if he has met with Lucasfilm about the proposed movie, McGregor played coy, saying “I’m not sure I’m at liberty to say, really, but I’m very interested in doing that. That would be great.
