The film adaptation of Philip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “American Pastoral,” is coming to theaters on October 21. In his directorial debut, Ewan McGregor directs the film about a man who watches his life fall apart as his daughter takes on a new political affiliation. McGregor also stars in the movie as Seymour Levov, a former star athlete and successful Jewish businessman, Jennifer Connelly plays former beauty queen Dawn Levov, Dakota Fanning stars as Seymour and Dawn’s rebellious daughter, Merry Levov, and Valorie Curry as the polarizing Rita Cohen.
