End of the Road For This Weekend (part 1)

It was a bright and windy April day in the Cascade Mountain with 20 inches of new snow on top of 18 inches the previous week. This time we had more men and better materials to cross the avalanche chute. The avalanche danger was minimal so we braved the drifts to see how much further we could drive this weekend than the previous weekend. It took two hours to go 1/4 mile. This is part one.
