Use the Copy button to copy this message to the clipboard. “ Please don’t be alarmed and follow the simple steps below to resolve the issue and get your session cranking in no time. Steps 1: Launch Pro Tools and wait for the messages to appear. Step 2: Click ‘OK’ on the following message. “Could not create the TCE plug-in’s factory default file because the plug-in doesn’t support the current sample rate.” Step 3: Click ‘OK’ on the following message. “Could not create a new document because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/DFW/MacBuild/../Views/UMenu.MacOS.mm", line 1549. Use the Copy button to copy this message to the clipboard.“ Step 4: Once Pro Tools has launched, please do the following. Go to the top of the ‘Pro Tools’ menu bar and select ’Set up/ Playback Engine.’ Now click the ‘Playback Engine’ tab and choose your output device, i.e. Avid 002/ 003, Mbox, Built-in Output etc. Click ‘OK.’ Now try creating a new session or open an existing one. Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.3 MacBook Pro 17-inch, Late 2011 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i7 16 GB of RAM 1 TB Solid State SATA Drive ProTools 10.3.8 & 11.3.1 Digi 002 Console / Avid 002 Avid’s official stance is, they no longer support the 002 console/ rack, however the ‘003_Family_Driver_11_1_3_Mac_83630’ driver works for my system.
