2008 Samoan Sports Awards - Speeches From Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson & Ata Maivia Johnson

Captured off Tagata Pasifika on TV1 8 January 2009. The Samoan Sports Awards took place 13 December 2008 and were highlighted by the appearance of Ata Maivia Johnson, mother of Dwayne The Rock Johnson. She was there to celebrate in person the induction of her father, the legendary Peter Maivia into the Samoan Sports Association Hall Of Fame. She also provided a motivational speech. The other highlight of the evening was a video message of encouragement from The Rock. Sportsperson of the Year was DJ Forbes for outstanding performances in leading the New Zealand Sevens team to the Championship for 2008. Check out Tofigas little cameo in the closing credits.
