Want your first official look at next year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2? Better book your ticket to San Diego! Director James Gunn took to Facebook to announce that he and some of the cast of next year’s highly anticipated Guardians sequel will be headed to San Diego next month saying quote, “We, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, are coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year. We’re going to be there, I’m going to be there, Chris Pratt is going to be there, a bunch of the gang is going this year and we’re going to show you something pretty cool.” The announcement coincided with star Chris Pratt’s wrapping his work on the 90-day production and both he and Gunn took time to thank the cast and crew for their hard work with Pratt declaring, “Everyone here has busted their asses…This is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all-time.” Pratt also praised Gunn for his work and preparation on the film that allowed them to complete the shoot on time and on-budget, which he reminded everyone is rare for a blockbuster movie. Of course, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 won’t be the only Marvel movie to have a presence at this year’s Comic Con. Before that film arrives in theaters on May 5th, they have the Sorcerer Supreme to introduce into the Marvel Cinematic Universe this November and Doctor Strange director, Scott Derrickson, recently took to Twitter to tease that film’s inclusion at the annual event tweeting a photo of a Doctor Strange Comic Con banner with the caption, “Will I be at Comic Con this year? Here’s a hint.” Looks like Marvel fans will have a lot to look forward to at this year’s Comic Con, particularly since the studio sat out last year’s event, but which panel are you more looking forward to; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 or Doctor Strange?
