Cylinder head inspection for flatness / warping HD

Inspection of a 4 cylinder Saab 9-3 2.0l turbo cylinder head for flatness. The head uses a MLS (multi layer sheet) gasket so tolerance is only about 0.004". This head measured 0.014" at the worst spot, between cylinders 2 and 3. It is important that the head not be scraped clean with a metal blade or other more aggressive mechanical means. Gasket solvent and a heated automatic parts washer were used for this one. The car overheated after a radiator hose ruptured. The car had been experiencing a slow loss of coolant for many months, and recently a ruptured heater core suggesting that a cylinder head gasket leak was already present.
