Keto Enol Tautomerism HD

This video teaches you the basic concepts of tautomerism. While tautomerism is of various types, we focus on the Keto-Enol Tautomerism, the most common form of tautomerism. Tautomerism occurs when there is an alpha hydrogen atom present next to a carbonyl carbon. Due to the acidic nature of alpha hydrogens, we see a proton shift to the oxygen atom, and an enol is formed. Generally, Ketones are more stable than enols, but there are some interesting cases dealt with in the video. Have fun learning!
