Today we’re making something really cool - Hello Kitty Crafts! Are you ready to make your very own DIY origami Hello Kitty AND her favorite accessory, her red bow? In this DIY origami video, you’ll learn how to fold each piece step-by-step, a little about the Japanese art of paper folding, and leave with some ideas for what you can do with your origami Hello Kitty and origami bow after you’ve finished folding! See below for all the materials you’ll need during this video and a step-by-step walk-through of each fold. Here we go! Hello Kitty Bow Materials Needed: One (1) square piece of colored origami paper Step-by-step Folds: (00:18) Step 1: Start with a square piece of paper with the colored side down (00:22) Step 2: Fold the paper in half and crease (00:31) Step 3: Open up and do the same to the other side and open flat (00:43) Step 4: Fold the opposite corners into the middle (00:55) Step 5: Fold in each of the sides once again to the middle (01:09) Step 6: Fold the top to the bottom piece and crease the center (01:17) Step 7: Fold the whole thing over on itself once again (01:24) Step 8: Open it up and stick your finger in the little pocket, flattening it out (01:37) Step 9: Turn it over and do the same thing to the other side making sure to crease (01:51) Step 10: Flip the front and back flaps over to only show the patterned side of the paper (02:00) Step 11: Take the top flap and fold it over (02:06) Step 12: Turn it around and do the same to the other side, press it down (02:17) Step 13: Take one of the small corners and fold it into the center (02:27) Step 14: Now do the same to the other side, fold it in and press (02:34) Step 15: Flip it around and do the same thing to the other side, taking the corners, folding them in and pressing (02:52) Step 16: Open up the flaps (03:03)Step 17: Gently put your index finger inside the pocket in the middle of the bow and flatten out (03:12) Step 18: Do the same thing to the other side, putting your index finger in the button just like you did at the top to create the knot in the middle of the bow (03:32) Step 19: Flip the bow over and fold in the corners on both sides of the bow (03:45) Step 20: Flip the bow back over, and you have completed Hello Kitty’s origami bow!
